From humble beginnings...
Our little business simply started out by building a birdhouse for my wife Jeni, and thanks to social media, seven years later we’re still creating unique handcrafted pieces. The backbone of our creations come from reclaimed lumber which include (but not limited to) barn board and pallet wood. We have also built items from repurposing old furniture such as dining tables, chairs, dressers and even vintage upright pianos! Local “Tobacco Sticks” and rescued snow fence have also worked their way into our items. We have a lot of our old favourites in our product line, but are always ready to try out some brand new ideas.

This is the name of our showroom where you can come and peruse our latest items. Occasionally we will open it up for a “Pop-Up Sale”, but if you want to stop on by to have a look, please contact us to arrange a time.

It’s an honour for us to be a vendor at the annual Celebrate Spring Artisan Market on Saturday, April 11 from 10 AM to 2 PM at the St. George United Church. Come on out and support many local vendors on what is to be a great day!

We’re pleased to announce that our application has been accepted at our first show since we moved! We found this place before we even move down here and it is an amazing place to visit. That’s all folks (in the words of Bugs Bunny). We kind of wondered if this would happen, but all of our customers have cleaned us out of product this week. Except for those of you who are picking up presold items, we will “not” be having an open house tomorrow morning (Saturday, June 15). We can’t express enough, our heartfelt gratitude and thankfulness for all of the amazing people we’ve met over the years. Whether it be at shows, pop-ups, in the Reclaimed Nest or just seeing people on the street in passing, this whole experience has been extremely humbling. Never did we expect by building a tray out of a pallet in our first workshop (a potting shed) did we think it would turn into helping dismantle century old barns, picking up used furniture on the side of the road, deconstructing, classic pianos, and furniture that was given to us for repurposing. We have however, decided to hang up the tools, and take a breather from the hustle and bustle of business. We will be moving to a small town for a fresh start. It may sound silly, but I’m looking forward to making a coffee and going out to wash my own truck and then deciding where we’re going to drive it for an afternoon of exploring. With that we say see you later, but not goodbye. #bigpapahoovsoverandout
